Willowbrook, a picturesque town nestled between rolling hills and lush forests, exudes an enchanting charm with its cobblestone streets and cozy cottages. This welcoming community is a place where the magic of everyday life flourishes.
💜 As the town of Willowbrook anticipated Valentine's Day, love was in the air.
Ember, the town’s beloved librarian, also looked forward to it. Her heart had recently been fluttering to an exciting rhythm, thanks to a budding friendship with a newcomer to the town, a charming artist named Oliver.
Oliver had arrived in Willowbrook before Thanksgiving, seeking inspiration for his paintings. His talent and personality had quickly won over the hearts of the town's residents, and he and Ember had shared numerous pleasant encounters at the local café and art gallery. He was also a weekly visitor to the library stacks, taking home an armful each time.
On a sunny February morning, Ember saw him strolling the cobblestone streets of Willowbrook. “Good morning,” she said, joining him. “Where are you off to?”
“The Enchanted Emporium.” He smiled, patting his pockets. He was always losing track of his glasses. “I’m looking for a gift for someone special.”
“That’s where I’m headed,” Ember said. She pointed to the top of his head, where his glasses were stationed, before patting her tote bag. “I have a few books Mrs. Grayson requested to add to her Valentine’s Day displays.”
Oliver laughed, retrieving the spectacles to sit on his nose. He crooked his elbow. “May I walk with you, then?”
Ember slid her arm through his. “I would love that.”
